In addition to the TWO page worksheet handed out either 12/5 or 12/6, complete the following project in PowerPoint:
1) Select 3 companies that you WOULD LIKE TO WORK FOR either this summer, or when you get out of college. Include the following:
a) Name of the company, and a picture of their logo
b) What do they do (what are they known for)?
c) What type of benefits to do they offer? Must have at least 4
d) What city and state is the location/office will you be working at?
2) Find two Management/Labor disputes that has occurred in the past 3 years. One can be sports related, and the other has to be non sports related situation. (Note: You can not use Hostess).
a) Tell me who was the Management involved (ex: Hostess)?
b) Who was the labor involved (ex: Hostess factory workers)?
c) What was the dispute about (can define in two sentences)?
d) Who used what TACTIC (ex: Hostess workers went on strike and picketed)?
e) How long did the dispute go on before it was resolved?
Remember, test on next Thursday (12/13) which will include a written section.
